Electric Vehicle Charging at Falkland Cricket Club

New public EV charging facility in Wash Common, Newbury at competitive rates! ________________________________________ Falkland Cricket Club with support from Enborne Parish Council and West Berkshire Council has recently installed four 22KW chargers in the main car park adjacent to The Bowler’s Arms PH, Enborne Street, Newbury RG14 6TW. These chargers are available for use by the public. There are no fixed fees or parking charges and the current rate is competitive at 61 p per kWh. At present we do not supply connector cables. To make use of the chargers, download the Sevadis Cloud App from Play Store or Itunes. Once you have registered on the app, you are good to go. Please Note We would make users aware that the chargers are in the car park of a cricket ground and it is possible for cricket balls to occasionally be hit into the car park when play or practice is in progress. No liability will be accepted for any damage, injury or loss to vehicles or their occupants while using the car park and/or chargers. If the charging bays are occupied by vehicles not using the chargers, the bar staff in The Bowlers Arms may be able to ask the driver(s) to move their vehicles. Read More...

Bewley Homes are holding a public exhibition on Thursday 2nd September to present the proposals and invite feedback from the community. They are planning to hold the public exhibition within close proximity of the Site at the Woodpecker Public House within their marquee from 3pm until 7pm. Cruel treatment to livestock.

“A local landowner has raised concerns over the cruel treatment of his livestock in the field at the corner of Andover Drove and Enborne Street. The field is crossed by a public footpath and is popular with walkers. Four teenagers were seen in the field throwing stones at the cattle. When challenged they ran off and were unfortunately too fleet of foot to be caught. We know that youngsters have a lot of time on their hands and little to entertain them during these times but abuse of livestock is not acceptable and does have consequences for the perpetrators when caught! “ Read More...
